Taking it back all the way back to the Halloween 2010. Every since that night when everyone told me how awesome my spider web makeup was, I couldn’t help but keep playing with makeup. Then I became the friend who wore the funky makeup looks and got everyone ready for prom. Who then became the kid who enrolled in Cosmetology School in High School.

After graduating from high school & Ulster BOCES, I became a salon assistant out in Saugerties, NY. After almost a year, I realized that hair really wasn’t for me. I wanted to follow my passion to become a makeup artist, and went on to work New York Fashion Week & other runway shows. I fell in LOVE with makeup, but always felt like it never looked good enough. I had to learn more, and I went above & beyond in doing so.

I went above & beyond to learn all that it took to become a makeup artist, and realized the most important part is creating the best canvas to work on. Your skin is just like any other canvas, and without the prep work, the paints you work with might not work as well as they could. So I learned EVERYTHING about skincare. (And I mean literally everything. I went back to school to learn all that I can about skin & its care.) Becoming an esthetician taught me so much, especially to take care of the skin that we are in.

After falling in love with skincare and facials, I knew that’s all I wanted to do. I started working as a full time esthetician in 2018 transforming skin every day. In between all those relaxing facials, I educated myself on good & bad ingredients, new techniques, and modalities. I wanted to know all that there was, thus the College of Knowledge was born.

My incredible Estie Bestie Kristin dubbed me the College of Knowledge for always having an answer to the question, or knowing where to look if I didn’t have the answer. Which made me the right person to become the Salon Manager, Product Educator, Ecommerce Manager, Wedding Coordinator, Wholesale Manager, and SOOO much more in my 5 years at a luxury skincare company.

After the shut down for the pandemic, I felt so lost for a long time. Until I found myself again, and started creating & going back to my roots as a makeup artist. Realizing it was time to do what’s best for me, I quit my corporate spa job to pursue something more meaningful & creative.

That something more was becoming the Creative Leader I knew I was meant to be. Since I was a kid, it’s been a DREAM to educate those around me and be a teacher. I spent my time teaching my salon team to be their best selves, personally & professionally. It truly was such an honor to watch them grow & lead them with humor and grace towards wonderful careers.

After realizing that things weren't working out at the salon, I decided it was finally time to venture out on my own. Leaving has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. I've been able to grow into a better esthetician, makeup artist, and person since I took the leap of faith to go after my dreams.

Now here we are, 1 year into being a small business owner and 10 years in the industry! I can't wait to see what the future holds for me & Ghosti Glow Beauty ✨️
